Setting the recurring event pattern form help

  1. Weekly vs. Monthly - First decide if your event occurs on a weekly basis or a monthly basis and choose the radio button on the left accordingly, If you select "monthly", you need not worry about the settings in the "weekly" section. Likewise, if you select "weekly", you need not worry about the settings in the monthly section. After reading the section below appropriate for which type you have chosen, please proceed to step two.

    Weekly Settings
    1. Weekly Settings (event day) - Select the day or days that the event occurs during the week. Ex: if you have an event that will be occurring every Tuesday and Thursday, select those days.
    2. Weekly Settings (event frequency) - Just above the list of days in the weekly section, is a setting to set the frequency that this event will occur. The setting in this field will be a number. If your event occurs every week for the entire duration of the recurrence period, please place a "1" in this field. If you event occurs every other week (bi-weekly), place a "2" in this field. If your event occurs every third week for the duration of the recurrence timeframe, place a "3" in this field. You can continue this pattern for as many weeks as you need.

    Monthly Settings
    1. Monthly Settings (event day) - Select the day that the event occurs during the month. There are two ways of doing this:
      1. A specific DATE during the month - Select "day and enter the date that you event occurs each month if your event occurs on a specific day
      2. A specific DAY during a specific week during the month - Select the toggle that starts with "The" if your event occurs on a specific day during a specific week during the month. For example: Thanksgiving occurs the last Thursday of the last week in November. In this instance you would toggle the button that starts with "The" then select "fourht" in the first drop-down list, and then select "Thursday" in the second drop-down list.
    2. Monthly Settings (event frequency) - Just to the right of the monthly day settings section, is a setting to set the frequency that this event will occur. The setting in this field will be a number. If your event occurs every month for the entire duration of the recurrence period, please place a "1" in this field. If you event occurs every other month (bi-monthly), place a "2" in this field. If your event occurs every third month for the duration of the recurrence timeframe, place a "3" in this field. You can continue this pattern for as many months as you need.
  2. Event recurrence duration - Lastly, Select start and end dates for the recurring pattern to take place. you can, if you choose to do so, select the start date to be the actual date that your first event takes place and the end date to be the actual date that your last event takes place. If you go a little earlier than your first event or a little later than your last event, the software will still calculate what the beginning and ending dates acrtually are. This of course is the case unless you go so far off as to be including another date that would fall into the recurrence pattern you have set.

For instance, if your event occurs every Wednesday and you select the last date to be a Saturday just past your last Wednesday event, the software will still calculate the previous Wednesday to be your last event.
